Recycling Information

"New" 2010 Household Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep Program
The Household Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep program has changed.  Residents are now able to dispose of their hazardous materials 12 times per year at the Outagamie County Solid Waste facility located at 1419 Holland Road, Appleton.  The program will run May - October on the following collection days and times:

  • The first Wednesday of the month from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • The third Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Appointments are required by calling (920) 832-5277 Option #3

OC Drug Drop

Outagamie County residents now have the opportunity to dispose of unused and unwanted pet and human medications at two locations:

  • City of Appleton Police Dept, located at 222 S. Walnut Street, Appleton.  It is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and all of Outagamie County can use the drop box. 
  • City of Seymour Police Dept, located at 306 N. Main Street, Seymour.  Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

E-Waste Recycling

Effective September 1, 2010, disposing of electronics in the landfill will be banned. Outagamie County residents can bring their waste electronic equipment to the Outagamie County Solid Waste Facility for recycling.  Such items are:

  • Monitor or TV - $5.00*
  • DVD or VCR - Free*
  • Towers, Printers, or Fax Machines - $5.00*
  • Keyboards, mice, speakers - Free*

*Prices subject to change

Tarping Public Safety Announcement

All open loads of solid waste or recycling material delivered to the Outagamie County Department of Solid Waste by a car, truck, trailer, or other vehicle must be secured and covered with a tarp.  Any load not secured and covered with a tarp will need to pay an additional $10.00 fee, for which a tarp will be issued, otherwise unloading will not be allowed.
