Flushing Hydrants: Hydrants will be flushed Thursday, Oct. 8th. This may cause a slight discoloration of your tap water. Leaving your faucets open for a few minutes to flush the lines coming into your home or business will clear up the issue.
Please Note: It is not allowed to discharge your sump pumps into the sanitary sewer system. Any questions, contact Roger at 525-2104.
Water Meter Freezing:
It is the responsibility of the water user to protect the water meter from freezing during cold weather. Replacements of broken meters due to freezing will be charged to the homeowner. (Questions—call Roger at 525-2104)
Parking: There is no overnight parking on Village streets from November 1 to April 1 between the
hours of 2 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Sidewalks: The snow season will soon be upon us, so REMEMBER, all snow and /or ice must be removed from public sidewalks within 24 hours from the time the snow and or ice ceases to accumulate on the sidewalk. Failure to do so could result in the Village causing it to be removed and the occupant of the dwelling being billed for it.
Household Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep Program: The remaining date for 2009 is Friday, October 16 at Outagamie County Hwy Garage, 440 Municipal Drive, Seymour, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants must pre-register by calling 920-832-5277 and choose option #3 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Single Stream Recycling means all paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, plastic and glass may now be mixed together (in container(s) not larger than 33 gallons or heavier than 50 pounds) OR you may continue to separate your recyclables as you have in the past. Single stream does NOT mean trash materials are mixed with your recyclables, only that your paper and container recyclables may be mixed together.
The new hauler is Inland Service Corporation. They can be reached for missed pickups or concerns about recyclables by calling 920-759-0501.
Medication Collection: Outagamie County’s fall medication collection is set. Medications can be brought to any of the listed locations (no appt required). Please leave all medications in their original containers (do not mix). You may black out your name and address if you wish.
