Water Meter Freezing:
It is the responsibility of the water user to protect the water meter from freezing during cold weather. Replacements of broken meters due to freezing will be charged to the homeowner. (Questions—call Roger at 525-2104)
Winter Parking: There is no overnight parking on Village streets from November 1 to April 1 between the hours of 2 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Sidewalks REMEMBER, all snow and /or ice must be removed from public sidewalks within 24 hours from the time the snow and or ice ceases to accumulate on the sidewalk. Failure to do so could result in the Village causing it to be removed and the occupant of the dwelling being billed for it.
Tax Collections: You may pay your real estate or personal property tax bills at Community First Credit Union, during regular business hours of the Credit Union.
Dog/Cat Licenses: All dogs and cats in the Village must be licensed. Un-spayed or un-neutered pet license fees are $8.00 and spayed or neutered pets are $3.00. A Certificate of Rabies vaccination must be presented when obtaining the license.
Pet Vaccination Clinic: A pet vaccination clinic will be held in Feb/March. The date has not been set, but will be posted and an ad placed in the Buyer’s Guide. Pet licenses will be available at the clinic.
Sump Pumps: cannot be discharged into the streets from October 15 to April 15.
Caucus: The Village Caucus will be held at the Community Center on Tue., January 5, 20010 at 6:30 p.m. Nominations will be taken for two trustee positions. Four names can be placed on the ballot for the April 6, 2010 election.
Christmas Trees: Undecorated Christmas trees can be left at the curb and Roger will pick-up and dispose of them.
Trustee’s Meulemans and Van Vleet’s 2 year term will expire in mid-April.
Driveways: If you would like the snow banks at end of your driveway pushed back due to accumulating snow, give Roger a call at 525-2104.
